Welcome to the website of the European Brominated Flame Retardant Industry Panel (EBFRIP).

EBFRIP is a European trade association, representing the common interests of the major manufacturers of brominated flame retardants, and is a sector group of Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, based in Brussels. Cefic also houses EFRA, the European Flame Retardants Association, representing all flame retardant producers.

09-04-2009: EBFRIP Statement on KemI's report relating to Deca-BDE EBFRIP has issued a statement welcoming a recent report by Kemi, the Swedish Chemicals Inspectorate, recommending that national restrictions on the flame retardant Deca-BDE should not be pursued. Kemi proposes that Swedish government actions should focus instead on discussions at the EU-level.
